About the Firm
After graduating from the University of Sheffield (LL.B.) being awarded 'Division One Honours' degree, attorney Abraham (Avi) Schechter began his professional career in 1993 as a law intern specializing in the field of banking law, company liquidations and receiverships.
After his accreditation as a lawyer, Attorney Schechter dealt mainly in real estate receivership as well as receivership of commercial and industrial companies and running them as a "receiver operator", a field which later became recognized and established in procedures involving
"special management" and stay of proceedings.
Towards the end of 1996, Attorney Schechter became independent, establishing the law firm which he has been heading in managing since its inception.
Today, the firm deals in a wide variety of commercial and business law, specializing in real estate and property law, corporate law, vehicular and transportation law (inter alia, representing vehicle importers), as well as in antitrust law. As a lawyer with expertise in banking, Schechter also deals with matters involving transaction finance, making use of his extensive experience and special expertise in drafting contracts in English, including for financing and carrying out transactions involving high yield-producing commercial real estate abroad.
The work at Schechter law firm is based on a personal trust, due in part to the firm's long personal acquaintance with its clients. The law firm places special emphasis on providing its clients with personalized, loyal, professional and dedicated care in a straightforward fashion.
Among its clients, the firm counts business executives who run sizable commercial companies as well as family holding companies, some of which are among the leading and best known companies in Israel. Atty. Schechter has been accompanying these clients hand-in-hand over the course of many years – the majority of clients for more than thirteen years. In addition to the firm's long-time established clients, the past few years have seen the addition of new commercial clients as well as private business people who own high yield-producing commercial real estates. All these clients together have generated a strong and varied client base that has led to business synergy and cooperation among the firm's clients.
Due to the nature of the firm's work, Atty. Schechter has managed to combine a sense of discretion of "everything stays within the family", while at the same time the firm's clients – both in Israel and abroad – are afforded the opportunity to freely contact and consult with Schechter at any time for any legal and commercial advice. Schechter law firm is well known for its ability to meet its clients' tight schedules and pressing deadlines, for the most part doing so almost immediately.
Aside from firm's professionalism and uncompromising loyalty, it is perceived among its clientele as discrete and uncompromising in upholding both commercial and personal confidentiality. This is reflected both in the discretion practiced at the corporate as well as personal level regarding the shareholders of those companies.

"Uncompromising Loyalty to my Clients"
In our firm, uncompromising loyalty towards our clients goes much deeper than mere 'promotional' attitude. It is more about establishing profound and truthful relationship with our clients over the years. In our firm, true loyalty emerges when a client believes in us, not just as his 'legal councilors' or mere 'advisors' per-se, but rather as a loyal partner to his path of business-life and later on, as a true friend.
Only then will such a client feels at 'home' and has no business seeking advice - elsewhere. Over the years, such a client becomes in turn, totally committed and truly loyal to his lawyer, his Firm. Such anchor clients and friends are then considered, nothing short of a real 'treasure'.
